Recipe Orange Chocolate Pound Cake is super easy and simple. Fluffy orange chocolate pound cake is a great dessert if you are craving a sweet combination of chocolate and orange. Every slice is rich in deep flavour and soft consistency.
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter room temp
- 50 ml oil
- 260 g icing sugar
- 3 eggs room temp
- 245 g flour
- 45 g cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- zest of 2 small oranges
- juice of 2 small oranges
- 100 g chocolate drops
Buttercream
- 90 g butter room temp
- 190 g icing sugar
- 15 g cocoa powder
- juice of ½ orange
- orange zest
- 60 g chocolate drops
Recipe Orange Chocolate Pound Cake is delicious and you can make it in 2 hours (eating included). I like pound cakes a lot. They are usually easy to make, have light consistency and you can add buttercream, jam, or whipped cream of any flavour. They are easy to cut and serve to your guests.
How to make the recipe for orange chocolate pound cake:
Preheat the oven to 170°C. Prepare a pound cake baking tin and baking paper.
In a bowl whisk butter and oil with icing sugar until fluffy. Add orange zest and give it a good stir. Add eggs and whisk until eggs are well combined.
In another bowl mix flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Add ½ of the flour mix and whisk until the flour disappears. Add orange juice and stir well. Add the rest of the flour mix. Stir until the flour disappears. In the end, add chocolate drops and give it a good stir.
Pour the batter into the pound cake tin with baking paper and bake for 45-60 minutes. Use a toothpick to make sure there is no batter sticking to the toothpick. Get the pound cake out of the oven and let cool completely.
Buttercream
In a bowl whisk butter with icing sugar, cocoa powder, orange juice and orange zest. If the buttercream is too runny, add more icing sugar.
