Chocolate Cake With Pudding And Sour Cream is a soft, tasty, and cold dessert for summer days. Greatly balanced with a taste of sour cream and shredded chocolate. This is my family’s go-to cake when there is any celebration in our family during the summer. You have to keep it in the fridge for a more refreshing experience.
INGREDIENTS:
- 5 egg whites
- 5 egg yolks
- 5 tbsps regular white sugar
- 5 tbsps cake flour
- 12 g baking powder
- 12 g vanilla sugar
- 150 ml oil
- 150 ml water
- 2 tbsps cocoa powder
For chocolate pudding
- 80 g chocolate pudding powder
- 1 l milk
- 3 tbsps regular white sugar
- 12 g vanilla sugar
For the cream frosting
- 500 g sour cream
- 50 g whipped cream in powder
- shredded chocolate
Chocolate cake with pudding and sour cream is really delicious. The cake is soooo fluffy, it’s unbelievable. This is the recipe my mum has been using for years. I don’t know the origin of this recipe so it’s not really mine. But I would love to share this chocolate dessert with you.
It has to be kept in the fridge so the cream holds its form. It’s cold and juicy so perfect for the long summer days in the heat. You will fall in love with how simple it is to make, and the pudding part.. YUM!

How can you make this cake?
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Prepare the 43 × 37,6 cm baking sheet with attached baking paper.
Start by mixing the yolks with sugars until creamy. Then continue by slowly adding oil, water, flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
Whisk the egg whites in a separate bowl and gently fold them into the batter. Pour the batter onto the baking sheet.
Prepare your pudding by the instructions on the product. Once the pudding is cold, add the pudding into the cake batter – one tablespoon at a time.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
In another bowl, mix together sour cream and powdered whipped cream.
When the cream is stiff, add a generous layer on top of the cake. Sprinkle with some shredded chocolate and let cool in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
